Current Skincare Routine (Oily Skin + Discoloration + Acne Prone)

Though I typically follow the tried and true mentality when it comes to purchasing skincare, I’ve been on a rampage of exploring new skincare products. I am slowly becoming somewhat of a skincare hoarder and there are no signs of slowing down. In fact, sometimes I get anxiety staring at my vanity since every product is vying for my attention like, “ Hey you, over there, pick me, pick me you asshole!” Well, maybe I have an over imagination..

But you know what, I’ve discovered some pretty awesome products once I decided to widen my skincare horizon. So today on the blog, I thought I’d share a quick review of some cool products I’ve been trying.

Skin Authority Exfoliating Cleanser

The Skin Authority Exfoliating Cleanser is a pretty straightforward and basic exfoliating face wash that is ideal for all skin types. If you’re looking for a gentle exfoliator to use on a daily basis, this cleanser is right up your alley. I love the way the micro pumice feels against my skin.

Skin Authority Vitamin A Cell Renewal

After a month of using the Vitamin A Cell Renewal, I could see a noticeable difference in the overall texture and brightness of my skin. My complexion was more even toned, and acne scars were diminishing. I have combination skin that is acne prone, with large pores and discoloration; therefore any products claiming to brighten discolored skin is welcomed to live on Sharon’s vanity.

From the perspective of someone with oily skin, I experienced tighter and more matte complexion. The product is nondrying and nonirritating.

Puristry Restorative Facial Oil

My favorite part of my skincare routine is slathering the Puristry Restorative Facial Oil all over my face like butter on toast. This facial oil promotes healthier looking complexion and keeps my skin hydrated.

ExfoliKate Glow Moisturizer

I posted about this product recently on another post, read my review here.

Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment

As mentioned before, I have acne prone skin, so therefore I always keep some acne spot treatment laying around. I tend to break out during that time of the month.

I discovered this product during a late night-pimple-emergency Target run. It turned out to be an effective and inexpensive spot treatment with quick results.

Nia Sunday Detox Mask

The Nia Sunday Detox Mask comes out like mousse and dries as a thin peel-off mask. It sure is a whole lot of fun to layer globs of mousse on my face. I noticed smaller pores and clearer skin with every use.

Be sure to apply the product generously on your skin; it’s easier to peel off the product. It’s also effortless to wash off surprisingly. I’ve used other types of peel-off masks and had to wash my face multiple times to rinse everything off.

Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment

I use this heavy-duty mask when I have an important event coming up and only on my t-zone. It helps with blackheads, shrinking pore size, and promotes the overall clarity of your complexion. You will feel a slight tingle when you apply.

Freeman Cleansing Clay Mask

I use this creamy mask 1-2 times a week; it’s an inexpensive and excellent clay mask that makes your skin feel cleaner and less congested. I wear makeup on a daily basis and is prone to blackheads so therefore I need a good clay mask to clear pores and draw out toxins.

This mask has a pretty flowery scent to it which I don’t prefer.
